Director of the Division of Language-Linguistics; Director of the postgraduate programme "English Language, Linguistics and Translation"; Director of the interdepartmental postgraduate programme "Translation: Greek, English, Russian"; Director of the AthDGC Laboratory for Diachronic Linguistics and Language Change; Treasurer of the Societas Linguistica Europaea (SLE); co-editor of the journal Glossa Contact, together with Ioanna Sitaridou and Igor Yanovich; coordinator of the CIVIS joint Master's programme in Advanced Linguistics; director of the Naxos Summer School on Diachronic Linguistics.
Education: B.A. in Philology, specialization in Linguistics; M.A. in Linguistics (Greek State Scholarships Foundation fellowship); Ph.D. in Linguistics (Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation fellowship), all from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Previous academic positions: Assistant Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; postdoctoral researcher at the University of the Aegean and at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greek State Scholarships Foundation fellowship); taught at the Universities of the Peloponnese, Patras, and the Aegean. At the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens since December 2017.
Research interests: language change, historical language contact, diachronic text corpora, the syntax-semantics interface. Active research projects: CVL-CDSAML (a contrastive, diachronic valency lexicon for ancient and medieval languages, funded by HFRI/ELIDEK) and Athens Digital Glossa Chronos, AthDGC (a dependency-parsed treebank of Greek aligned with other Indo-European languages). Organizer of the workshop "Corpora and Diachrony: Influential Texts, Text Types and Genres", Delphi, 26-29 November 2025, and Director of the 9th (2024), 10th (2025) and 11th (2026) Naxos Summer School on Diachronic Linguistics (see separate Events entries).
