Dr Rothoni´s PhD thesis, which was completed under the supervision of Professor Bessie Mitsikopoulou, was published in a book by Palgrave Macmillan titled Teenagers’ Everyday Literacy Practices in English: Beyond the Classroom.
Trisevgeni Liontou, PhD in Applied Linguistics (2013)
Dr Liontou’s PhD thesis was published in a book entitled Computational Text Analysis and Reading Comprehension Exam Complexity: Towards Automatic Text Classification by Peter Lang – International Academic Publishers in 2015 (Language Testing and Evaluation Series, volume 36).
Trisevgeni Liontou, PhD in Applied Linguistics (2013)
Our PhD graduate Dr. Trisevgeni Liontou was awarded the ‘Best Teaching Practice’ prize for the work she has conducted with her students at the 6th Primary State School of Gerakas, during “The PEAP journey doesn’t end her” Colloquium which was organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Primary Education State School Committee of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.
Maria Stathopoulou, PhD in Applied Linguistics (2013)
Her PhD thesis will be published as a book by Multilingual Matters. The title of the book is Translanguaging and Cross-Language Mediation in Foreign Language Education: An Empirical Study in a Testing Context.

In May 2014, Maria Stathopoulou was invited by the Council of Europe (Education Policy Division, Strasbourg) to participate in a group of experts responsible for the extension of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).
LITERATURE
Pavlina Ferfeli, PhD in Literature (2009)
Her PhD thesis was published in a book entitled Poetics of Idetity: Mina Loy Voicing the Fluid Female Body. Frankfurt am Main by the international publisher Peter Lang in 2010.
Evgenia Theodoridou, MA Literature, Culture, Ideology (2011-2013)
Evgenia participated in the 1st Panhellenic Poetry and Prose Competition “Mimis Souliotis” 2014 of the University of West Macedonia in Frorina, with her poem “Polis”, which was given a prize and was selected to be published in a volume by Digamma Publications. The prize award took place in a special event at the University of West Macedonia on 21 June 2014.
Efrosini Kolovou-Manda, Postgraduate Translation Programme (English)
She published her translation, “Emily Dickinson’s Epistolobiography” in Sakelliou, E. (eds), Emily Dickinson: Because I Could not Bear to Live Aloud. Poems and Letters, with Gutenberg in 2013 (Athens). It received an award for the best translation of foreign literature into Greek by the Greek Association of Translators of Literature (3/12/2013, Stegi Grammaton & Texnon).
Konstantinos Tzikas, MA Literature, Culture, Ideology (2011-2013)
His first play, “Dead Leaves” (French: Feuilles Mortes; Greek: Νεκρά Φύλλα) was selected by the committee of the Dramaturgy Workshop that took place in Vyrsodepseio, Athens, in the fall of 2013, to participate in the Month of Contemporary Greek Drama (Ecrire et Mettre en Scène Aujourd'hui) in Caen, France. The play, translated by Dimitra Kondylaki, was presented on May 10 and 31 at Panta Théatre, directed by Guy Delamotte and starring Thierry Mettetal, Vincent Poirier, Marie-Laure Baudain, Emmanuelle Wion and Mickael Pinelli. It was also presented at Vyrsodepseio, in the form of dramatic reading, on June 16, 2014, directed by Dimitra Kondylaki and starring Thanassis Sarantos, Katerina Maoutsou, Athina Karagioti, Denis Makris. Excerpt of the play is included in the anthology of contemporary Greek drama Auteurs dramatiques grecs d'aujourd'hui: Miroirs tragiques, fables modernes, that was published by Editions Theatrales, with the support of Institut Français d'Athènes.
