The MA Programme “English Language, Linguistics and Translation” focuses on Linguistics and its applications, mainly in the English language, as well as the Translation and Interpreting from and to English.
The purpose of the programme is to introduce postgraduate MA students to research in the fields of
a) Linguistics and its applications
b) Translation and Interpreting from and to English
The programme aims at thoroughly studying linguistic theory and its applications in the fields of linguistic analysis, electronic corpora, digital, and educative linguistics that concern the English language.
The programme also aims at thoroughly studying translation theory and research, translation practice (focusing on a wide variety of genres) and interpreting. The programme focuses on modern technological tools for linguistic analysis and research.
The programme awards a Postgraduate Degree [Δίπλωμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (ΔΜΣ)], equivalent to M.A. (Master of Arts) in the following specializations:

The programme evolves and adjusts to instructors’ and students’ experience. The General Assembly of the Department carries the responsibility for constant evaluation and overall assessment of the programme. The programme offers each of the specializations one at a time.
