Professional Development Seminar Series for Students and Graduates

Your Future in Focus is a recurring professional development seminar series organized by the Department of English Language and Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Designed for students and graduates, the series explores the connections between university study, career planning, skills development, and the formation of professional identity.

2025–2026 Series

The first cycle took place during the 2025–2026 academic year and comprised five online seminars. Its themes ranged from labour-market mapping and the skills gap to communicating the professional self, strategically shaping professional identity, and engaging with contemporary realities of teaching.

  • 24 February 2026 — Communicating Your Professional Self: From Skills to the Interview

  • 12 May 2026 — Beyond Methodology: Identity, Inclusion, and the Realities of Teaching

2026–2027 Series

Your Future in Focus will continue during the 2026–2027 academic year with a new cycle of seminars. Individual themes, speakers, dates, and delivery formats will be announced progressively as they are confirmed.
