Prof. Adam received his B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Athens and his M.A. from the University of East Anglia, U.K. He served as a member of the Faculty of Athens for many years, teaching courses on Linguistics, Translation theory, Literary Translation, and the (comparative) study of idioms in English and Greek, a topic on which his scientific interests are particularly focused. His publications include a study of W. Cowper as a translator of Homer, as well as many books on Greek-English idiomatic phenomena.
