With an M.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University, New York, and a B.A. from Barnard College, USA, Ann Cacoullos became a member of the Faculty of English where she taught a series of courses on her areas of scientific specialty, that is, the Philosophy of Culture and Feminist Theory and Literature. She has also taught in American universities, while she regularly publishes articles on issues of politics and culture. Her books include studies on classical political philosophy, feminism, and Thomas Hill Green. She is the co-editor, along with Mary Sifianou, of the volume Anatomies of Silence: Selected papers from the Second HASE International Conference on Autonomy of Logos (1998).
