VANGELIS NATSIOS

Vangelis Natsios has graduated from the Department of Computer Science and Telecommunications of the University of Athens. He holds a Master's Degree in Graphic Arts and Multimedia from the School of Applied Arts and Sustainable Design of the Hellenic Open University.

He has worked as a system and network administrator at NCSR Demokritos and as a web application developer at the National Documentation Center. He was appointed as civil servant of the Ministry of Education in 2006, where he has participated in the development of multiple information systems addressing the needs of central and peripheral educational authorities.

Prominent among those is the "Athena" suite, providing services to over 10 administrative authorities, 900 schools and 25000 teachers since 2008, and addressing issues from financial and personnel management to examination and assessment procedures. From 2020 to 2024, he worked at the Department of Computer Science, Interoperability and Networks of the Institute of Educational Policy, his main task being the design and development of information systems. As a member of the Institute of Educational Policy, he supported the planning of 5 training programs with a total of 48000 trainees.

He specializes in systems analysis, database design and web application and web service development. His fields of interest also include graphic arts, image and sound processing and internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
