ΕΛΛΗΝΟ-ΑΓΓΛΙΚΟ ΛΕΞΙΚΟ ΣΥΜΦΡΑΣΕΩΝ ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗΣ ΕΠΙΚΑΙΡΟΤΗΤΑΣ, ΕΚΔ. ΔΙΑΥΛΟΣ, ΑΘΗΝΑ 2008

The Greek-English dictionary of political collocations addresses Greek speakers of English who wish to pursue a near-native command of English collocations in politically oriented discourse. It suggests rendition of collocations, drawing on a parallel (English-Greek) press corpus, thus highlighting preferred conceptualizations across English-Greek. It foregrounds the potential of translation data to suggest "equivalent' items at points where languages prefer to construct their discourse differently. A tool to be used in parallel with bilingual dictionaries (bilingual introduction, 777 entries). (Project design and ed. Maria Sidiropoulou, entry selection by postgraduate students of the "Translation-Translatology" MA Programme)
