Ioanna Gioti is a graduate of the Faculty of English Language and Literature of the University of Athens, specialized in Language-Linguistics.  She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics (University of Reading) and QTS (Qualified Teachers Status) for employment in schools in England. She worked as a Teacher of English at Trevelyan Middle School in Windsor, UK. She has been working at Greek Primary Schools since 2003, when she was appointed as a Teacher of English after succeeding in the ASEP (Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection) exam. Her interests include Intercultural Communication, coordinating and participating in European educational programmes (Comenius, Erasmus+) as well as liaising with schools across Europe. She has been regularly attending seminars on teaching English as a foreign language, using IT in EFL and classroom management. For the academic year 2017-2018, she is seconded at the Faculty of English Language and Literature of the University of Athens.
